During this time though, it had become clear that the beating heart of the business was actually Eavanna herself. FORMING THE BRAND IDEA

During the research phase, we got to work understanding the customer’s pressing needs in this space and how we could best answer these through the brand identity and subsequent brand communications. Our key findings led us to articulate a brand idea which aligned us as a team, alongside Eavanna, throughout the project.

BRINGING THE BRAND IDEA TO LIFE

Stemming from the brand idea, we felt inspired by the pearl, the concept of layers being added over time to build something stronger and more beautiful. We explored textures of protective layers in nature and art, aiming to draw attention to the beauty that can be created from the inside. Taking the pearl as an exemplar of beauty existing as a result of balance within.

From here, we developed the visual language for the brand with Eavanna herself at the core. We created a brand language that spoke to her experience and the care she has for her customers, many of whom are long-term clients.

To elevate the brand, we created a new tone of voice, brand values, digital visual direction, and signage concepts. We also created new brand patterns, drawing inspiration from the pearl. Anchoring all of this was the idea of the diversity of skin tones and qualities, this also informed the identity, creating a brand that is both elegant and inclusive.
