Jason MacGabhann is the craftsman behind Irish jewellery company Casúr Óir. The name comes from the Irish words for golden hammer and gets its roots from Irish history and folklore.

The brief for us was to refresh his brand and bring it online via an online shop while still staying true to the rustic origins.

Jason spends his days crafting beautiful bespoke jewellery from his Greystones-based workshop. His affection for tradition and the craft of jewellery-making inspired us.

The result was a traditional brand aesthetic that was made contemporary by  taking a minimal and clean approach to layout and combining it with modern typography.

The logomark represents an anvil and was made as an addition to the logotype that we initially designed.  This neat little mark was applied to their social media profiles and packaging concept design. We also created concept designs for in-store promotional material.

A custom image treatment was created for the website banners which we paired with black and white imagery to maintain sophistication and not detract from the archive of pieces that Jason had built up over the years. 

We look forward to seeing more great work coming out of this homely studio in the years to come.
